Company Philosophy

At Zelenka Development, we intentionally focus on quality over volume.
We believe clients benefit when the builder remains actively involved throughout the entire process rather than handing the project off to multiple layers of management. Construction projects involve hundreds of decisions, and having direct access to an experienced builder can make a significant difference in both the experience and the final result.

Communication and transparency are central to how we operate. We don’t believe in making promises simply to win a project. Instead, we focus on setting realistic expectations, maintaining open communication, and helping clients understand the reasoning behind key decisions throughout construction.

One aspect of the process I particularly enjoy is educating clients. Many homeowners and investors are building only once or twice in their lifetime. Taking the time to explain the construction process helps clients feel more confident, make better decisions, and ultimately enjoy the experience more.

Many builders sell a project personally but delegate the day-to-day management to others once construction begins. At Zelenka Development, clients work directly with the company leadership throughout the process.

Founder Story

Construction has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent a great deal of time working on our family home alongside my father. Even at a young age, building things and understanding how they came together was something I genuinely enjoyed.

That interest ultimately led me to pursue a degree in Construction Science and Management at Kansas State University, where I graduated in 2013. Following college, I moved to Colorado in 2014 and began building experience in residential construction, working on high-end custom homes and learning firsthand what it takes to deliver a quality product.

In the spring of 2020, I founded Zelenka Development.

The decision to start my own company was driven by a desire to build projects differently. I believed that many construction companies were taking on too much work, stretching resources thin, and losing the level of attention that clients deserve. My goal was to create a company that could remain heavily involved in every project, maintain high standards, and provide clients with a better overall experience.

Experience

Prior to launching Zelenka Development, I gained extensive experience working on high-end custom homes throughout Colorado.

Since founding the company in 2020, we have grown from smaller remodels and basement finishes into major additions, custom homes, duplex developments, and investor-driven projects. This progression has allowed us to build a strong foundation while continually expanding our capabilities and expertise.

Today, Zelenka Development brings together formal construction education, hands-on field experience, and practical project management to deliver successful projects for homeowners and investors alike.

Personal Background

Outside of construction, my wife Emily and I enjoy raising our two children, Evelyn (“Evie”) and Beau.
We enjoy everything Colorado has to offer, including skiing, golf, spending time at the lake, and being outdoors with family and friends.

Vision for the Future

The long-term vision for Zelenka Development is to continue growing while maintaining the same principles that built the company from the beginning: quality, communication, accountability, and personal involvement.

Our goal is to become one of Denver’s premier residential builders and development partners while continuing to provide the hands-on attention and client experience that larger organizations often struggle to maintain.

With an 11-year foundation in Real Estate and a Design degree from Colorado State University, Dante brings a unique blend of market expertise and creative vision to her role as a Designer. Her design philosophy balances a genuine excitement for fresh, modern trends with a deep respect for traditional architecture and timeless elements.

Over the past decade, Dante has developed a well-versed portfolio that spans collaborative developer projects, personal custom remodels and design projects, as well as larger-scale, multi-unit flips and rentals. She treats every project as if it was her own, ensuring the final look is both intentional and a space that feels like home.
